February 26, 2010 - Kicking off 2010, RightNOW! hosted a PoliticalChick Chat Luncheon featuring Secretary Margaret Spellings at the Capitol Hill Club.  Ms. Spellings was the White House Domestic Policy Advisor and the Secretary of Education under the George W. Bush Administration from 2005-2009; currently, she is the President and CEO of Margaret Spellings and Company located in Washington, DC.

With a great bipartisan turnout, Secretary Spellings discussed her passion for education, life lessons and even shared some funny stories about her and former President George W. Bush. 

"Become an expert…I did not pick education – education picked me,” Ms. Spelling stated.

Known for her bipartisan passage and implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act, Secretary Spellings’ remarks were not only dynamic, but candid.

“Education needs to be about the students.  The focus needs to be on whether or not we giving the students the tools to succeed,” said Secretary Spellings.
